As part of GeoDT, existing geoscientific data and results from ongoing and planned explorations are integrated into a geothermal geographic information system (GIS) for the GeoLaB site. This GIS forms a central component of GeoDT’s overarching data management system. Based on this, a structural geological 3D model is being developed, which serves as an essential database for the digital twin. This is supplemented by flexible geometric modeling methods that enable a direct connection to coupled process simulations. In addition, drilling processes are integrated into the digital twin in order to realistically map and analyze dynamic changes in the subsurface, for example during drilling.
