Based on the structural modeling in WP1, initial, highly simplified process models were created to describe the Tromm groundwater system. To this end, vertical sections were first laid through the 3D structural model and the groundwater flow was simulated using highly simplified assumptions for the boundary conditions. The primary goal during the reporting period was to develop and test the workflow from structural modeling > grid generation > process model. The workflows are integrated into so-called Jupyter Notebooks, which are collaboratively developed and tested in the GitLab of the GeoDT project and are available as open source applications from the outset. Initial highly simplified examples can be seen in the following figures.
